The Great Adventures of Karolina. Part 2 Greve in Chianti

Ah… from all the places in Tuscany Greve in Chianti was one of the most magical ones… the hills covered in vines, sweet sweet grapes, hot sun in the middle of October… I think thats a place I can live in. Close enough to Florence, yet peacefull and almost turist free.

Well not really… All fattorie di vino are very touristic and they offer a guided tours as well as wine tasting.
So when my parents came to visit me in Italy I took them to Greve. We took a bus, and ended up in the city center… in the closest information center, i got us wineyards map and contacts. We decided to visit one that was in a “walking distance” it was called Fattoria Viticcio

It was stunning walk through “vine fields” we did picked up few grapes on our way up.

Siena

One saturday me and my flatmates decided to go for a day trip to Siena.
Small, beautiful town located on a hills of Tuscany. According to a legend it was created by sons of Remus- Senio and Aschio. They were hiding in mountains from Romulus. Brothers buileded a castle in the place they were hiding and called it Senio. They decided that the crest of their city will be the she-wolf that found and suckled Remus and Romulus.
