Its my party and I will Rock`n`Roll if I want

by Karolina

I recently came back from London Rock`n`Roll Bride Party organized by the best bloger in the universe, my favourite pink (on that occasion rainbow haired) lady Kat Williams aka Rock`n`Roll Bride.

Everything started couple months ago when Kat announced this year party. There was a list to sing up- so I did… I was almost sure that I will not get in, and as it is in London I will have no chance to go there… But when month ago Kat sent me an invite I was so so so happy I didn’t even think about not going.

I started planning the journey with my new great friend Nicola from Daffodils Waves, so at the same night everything was booked and done :) hotel, coach ( yes! Coach… from Wrexham, Wales, solid 6 hours in the coach), and then I tried to forget about all the excitement, it was quite hard- but I kept myself busy- I went to Poland for 5 days, I had load of work and retouching, and then suddenly there was 13th of April, and the whole excitement came back not twice as strong, 10000000 times stronger. I was so anxious about meeting everyone from twitterland, everyone I followed for so long time, and some of them whom I spoke to.

I was even more terrified when I woke up at 5 am on Thursday morning, and that feeling was very strong on the coach, but then after 3 hours in the coach Nicola joined me, and everything was better then great.

When we came to London we started our adventure- the quest was to find our hotel, and to travel there using famous London tube, and guess what? We did it! Big style! We where so so proud of ourselves.

Couple hours later another lovely lady joined us Ali Lovegrove ( I`m officially in love with Ali last name ;)), after all grily stuff we where ready to rock that Rock`n`Roll Bride Party :)

That`s us in the hotel room ( photo taken by Ali Lovegrove, you can see all the photos on her blog). As I didn’t have my camera with me I will post few  photos taken by Ali.

At the bar placed in the centre of Soho, I became uber shy! I have no idea why… First person I met was Kat, I had a special gift for her, but after handling it to her I just sat somewhere and I tried to convince myself to speak to everyone.

Couple drinks later it was all better. ( It was the coolest idea of a drink- from a paint tin, I had two, I think, of them and 2 mohitos ;) ) I took advantage of the photo booth run by Lisa Jane, and now I cant wait for the photos I know Kat already saw them but we all need to wait to see it.

Its a pity I didn’t manage to speak with everyone, but I had a chance to meet one of my personal favourite photographers- Lara Jade and Julia Boggio, both wonderful ladies. Julia made so great impression on me that after returning to our hotel I had a dream about her dressed up in her beautiful red dress, doing some magical tricks with her child… quite random as my roomies said. I also met lovely couple from Love Illustrated, Amma from Beyond Beyond, Hannah Millard, Kelly from Boho events and many many more. I feel ashamed that I forgot so many twitter names, or blog names of people I met, I blame stress and mohitos ;).

I had great time. Sweets where just incredible. I think I cant find enough words to say how cool everything was!

Day after party me and Nicola on our way back decided to walk to coach station- and that was such a great idea, we ended up in front of Buckingham Palace (as it was my first time in London I was so happy about that!;)) and walked through London streets- almost without a map.

I know next time I will have my camera with me so I can take some photos. I already offered help with the name tags! :) with twitter name and picture on them so shy people, like myself, will have easier job approaching everyone. Honestly- I can`t wait :))))))

As Kat already posted the pictures from the photo booth I will share few of them :))
